ANIME TEACHES || GOKU - DRAGON BALL

 Being an anime fan and watching dragon ball since childhood helped me understand different aspects of life. It was difficult then to acknowledge the real meaning and the philosophy hidden in the whole series of dragon ball but with time I realised, it was far beyond my expectations. Each episode teaches something different and something new that is quite important to learn and perhaps its application help in prospering in life as well. Well, anime culture is known for these deep hidden life lessons. No doubt, Goku, being a humble and attractive protagonist of whole dragon ball series has a lot to take inspiration from. Without further delay, let’s try to take the lessons from the character;

COMPASSION;

The journey of dragon ball started in search of seven dragon balls to fulfil a wish but Goku never thought of wishing something for himself or anything materialistic, instead he always wished for others. He wished for bringing his friends' life back, saved world by making the use of the wish, etc. This shows his kind hearted nature. Neither all have the quality of such benevolence nor everyone possess such a compassionate nature.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ABOVE EVERYTHING;

Goku represents a character who values humans and emotions more than anything. He always pushed himself beyond his limits in order to save his family and friends. He never used to care for his own life and took all possible steps to save his family and friends. From Krillin to Piccolo to his own son Gohan, Goku did his best to save everyone irrespective of caring for his own life.

FORGIVENESS IS THE ULTIMATE STRENGTH;

Goku was well aware of the power of forgiveness. Goku spared Piccolo, Vegeta, Frieza, Buu etc. It was his kindness that paves the way of companionship and later on made Piccolo,Vegeta and Margin Buu his companions. Piccolo became one of his closest confidant. Goku had shown mercy in all possible ways and let his enemies survive and had given them the fair chance for improvements. Without being ambiguous about sparing, he spared the life of everyone.

Do you possess the quality to forgive someone who once tried to kill you?

OPEN TO GROWTH;

Goku, being the most attracting and pure hearted character of dragon ball series shows a growing mindset and hence was always open to growth. His enthusiasm and dedication towards his training simply shows his dedication towards his goals. He was open to learning and was always ready for new challenges in order to improve his capabilities. He fought world martial arts championship with the main motive of improving his skills. Winning the tournament was never his priority. Even after losing tournaments, he never regretted for a second. This clearly shows the tenacity of Goku towards growth.

IMPORTANCE OF MENTORS;

Well, the purpose of a mentor is to lead you towards your goals and help you to become the best version of yourself, perhaps Goku knows the same and hence comprehended the same as well. He has a reverance for his mentors. Goku had taken apprentices from his mentors and never disrespected his mentors. Even after growing super strong and transforming into Super Saiyan and ultra instinct, his reverance or the respect for his mentors from Grandmaster Roshi to Korin to Kami and King Kai remained the same. Goku had a deep respect for all his mentors. Goku outgrown his powers beyond the levels of these masters and yet he chose to act like their pupil and respect their apprentices, this justifies the humility of our hero Goku.
