Handling Failure. || Kashish Gupta

So, everyone keeps telling us about the effects of the failures. We're being programmed since the early years of our life that success matters and failure is something that has a negative impact on our life. Then we have grown and started evaluating the consequences of failures, either in a positive or a negative way. Those who considered the positive influence ended up improvising and those who considered it negative, perhaps ended up being dejected or founded themselves dwelling into the pit of disdain and resentment.

Now, in order to experience anything, time is the ultimate factor. With time, experience prevails, and hence your spectrum of analyzing and then correcting the problem by finding the real cause behind broaden up. You metamorphose yourself from the one who's once afraid of failures to the one using failure as a foundation stone and building the empire. That's why it's wisely said,

"Failure is the only opportunity to begin again intelligently"

~Henry Ford

The Real Problem

If the process is so simple that you just have to take failures positively and never let your optimism fall, so, what's the real problem, where we humans fail?

Well, the answer is the way, we handle failure. The whole process of failing and then rising is a beautiful journey, but the time hitting failure and then holding the failure as a part of life is a quite difficult phenomenon. If everyone would be capable of holding their failures effectively, then the suicide rate won't be that high. People can't handle their failures and then find suicide as an ultimate option ending up all their problems.

Without much explanation, let's jump into the main part of handling the failures.

Acceptance

Now, as you've faced failure, you need to accept the failure as it is. There's no point in blaming others for your failures. Without accepting the current situation, it's impossible to work, in order to improvise. Only once you accepted the situation, your consciousness will allow you to act moderately to improve and find ways to overcome your failure.

I'd seen a number of people, who don't accept their defeat and keep on blaming. They find out reasons to blame for their failures instead of the solutions to prevent the failure.

Hence, it's wisely said,

Blaming others for failures is like blaming doughnuts for being fat. It wasn't the doughnuts. It was the choice.

Don't Ignore, Instead, Empathize

People often don't care for others, especially, when they're in the phase of misery and dejection. At the time, when you're laid down by failure, you found yourself in the pit of despair, sorrows, and regrets. And it's quite obvious because our brain is programmed that way and hence, has no other options other than being dragged into the phase of misery and regrets. Now, here comes the role of family and loved ones. Think of your mother and father, start to reminisce your precious happy past moments with them. Reconcile your relations. Once you started caring for the happiness of your loved ones, started empathizing them, you'll discover a new ray of hope, love, prosperity and peace. This will complete your void of misery and regrets.

Believe in yourself

So, in order to achieve any victory and to attain anything in your life, you need to remember the formula of Believing in yourself. Kill the self-doubt that developed because of failure. The more you believe in yourself, the more you'll create opportunities for success. Don't let your self-doubts dominate your strength and displace you towards misery again. Self doubt is like a parasite, just harming you in real sense. Don't fall for self doubts and do believe in yourself and trust the process.

Resilience

Resilience is the ability to bounce back and adapt when the thing goes unplanned. Now, consider the law of conservation of energy, "The energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. It can only be changed from one form to another".
Similarly, you need to utilize your internal energy in order to make an impact and further to help you achieving the desired results. Your believe is a powerful tool that's quite important to help you touching heights and handle your failures as well.

Don't let your Self Esteem degrade.

Once the tsunami of failure hits the shore of self-esteem, it brings destruction only. Your morale downgrades, your beliefs got challenged, your capabilities are judged and your efforts are questioned. Struggling with all this stuff can easily degrade your self-esteem and once it degrades, its rebuilding process takes time. So, don't let your self-esteem degrade. Instead, fill yourself with optimism and try to improve the stuff. Hustle more hard, dedicate yourself more towards the goal and trust the process. You'll surely win.

LEARNINGS FROM THE CREATOR || BHAGWAD GEETA

Keeping the religious concept and mythological parameters aside, the book, I honestly believe deserves a read by each one of us is ''Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta''. Bhagwad Geeta is a famous Hindu scripture and a part of the great epic ''THE MAHABHARATA''.

It is considered one of the holy scripture of Hindus. This book is sufficient to explain all the lessons, we perhaps needed in our whole life. Geeta is in fact not just a book, but a framework of a dialogue between Arjuna and Lord Krishna himself. Lord Krishna teaches Arjun some important life lessons that emerged as Bhagwad Geeta.

 A BRIEF CONTEXT

So, there was a righteous war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. Arjuna was one of the Pandavas and was in a fight against his own kin. Now, this filled Arjuna with disparity and leads him to the moral dilemma about the war that gonna shatter his family relations. Then, in order to support Arjuna and to protect Dharma, Lord Krishna explains the life's reality. This includes 18 chapters in total with numerous life lessons. Let's try to learn a few.

Lesson -1

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।

मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि।।

I'd been told like million times since childhood, ''कर्म करो फल की चिंता मत करो'' |

Now, this statement actually means, just perform your duties wholeheartedly without actually caring for the outcome.

If you care for the results and keep on expecting the results and it doesn't get fulfilled, then the amount of pain, you'll experience will shatter you off completely. Now, in order to avoid that pain and make yourself more strong from the inside, you need to focus on your work. You need to perform all your duties without entitling yourself to the fruits of your duties. God,s there to give you the fruit of your activities, so, keep on doing your activities without caring for the outcome.

Lesson - 2

उद्धरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमवसादयेत्।

आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मनः॥

This quote describes you as your friend as well as your foe. You need to elevate your thoughts yourself. No one is free to help you. Everyone is having their own problems and they all are busy solving them. You need to help yourself finding your purpose in life.

You can be your friend and your enemy as well. If you are leading yourself towards prosperity, happiness, satisfaction and encouraging yourself to progress more, then you're playing the role of friend in your own life. On the other hand, if you're degrading your efforts, procrastinating, feeding yourself with jealousy and envy, then you're acting like your own enemy.

Lesson - 3

जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युर्ध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्य च।
तस्मादपरिहार्येऽर्थे न त्वं शोचितुमर्हसि॥

This quote states that death is inevitable. Anyone who's taken birth surely needs to die. Death is certain for the born and rebirth is certain for the dead. And we have no control over the cycle of death and life.
No one is immortal and this characteristic clearly concludes that there exists some supreme force that controls everything happening around us.
This shloka also teaches us not to feel sad for the one who left. Everything that happens is predecided and we're no one to control the stuff.

LESSON - 4

क्रोधाद्भवति सम्मोहः सम्मोहात्स्मृतिविभ्रमः।
स्मृतिभ्रंशाद् बुद्धिनाशो बुद्धिनाशात्प्रणश्यति॥

Now, we all are well aware of the consequences of anger. Everyone knows how badly anger affects your health, mental peace, in fact, your whole life. Still, most of us have anger issues. In this shloka, Lord Krishna explains how anger ruins your ability of judgment. Anger results in delusions, which ultimately leads to the bewilderment of your memory.
As memory paves the way for your intelligence, so bewilderment of memory destroys your intellectual performance and your understanding. This ultimately perishes you.

LESSON - 5

श्रद्धावान्ल्लभते ज्ञानं तत्पर: संयतेन्द्रिय:।
ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्तिमचिरेणाधिगच्छति ||

According to Lord Krishna, with deep faith and complete control over mind and senses, we can attain divine knowledge. This knowledge forms the pathway for serenity and hence one can attain supreme peace.

Message;
I personally believe, Bhagwad Geeta is the book that truly leads you towards prosperity and happiness. It is believed that there's no life's problem that can't be solved by applying the principles from Bhagavad Geeta and I kind of agree with the same. I highly recommend everyone, at least one read of Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta.

THE PHILOSOPHICAL BREAKDOWN || Heath Ledger

"Your Biggest supporter is a Stranger and your Biggest hater is someone you know well"— Heath Ledger

So, this Statement is quite deep in its real sense. We'll try to break it down in order to understand it in a simple way and try to learn what Ledger literally meant by this statement.

Now dividing the quote into two points; one with respect to the supporter and the other considering the hater's point of view or the hater's perspective.

*STRANGER - The Mindset of a Supporter

A stranger is someone who won't judge you on the basis of your past, who won't consider your mistakes from your old days, and hence will offer you his support in an unbiased manner, completely based on your effective capabilities. A human being who is able to recognize your talent, visualize your dedication and analyze your efforts, someone who is able to comprehend the idea and your mentality, someone who shares the same thought process like you do, etc. fulfills the criteria of a supporter.

Sometimes, Fate provides you the opportunities and you need to grab them. The stranger you meet may belong to the category of opportunity you got from your destiny. There may involve some divine force that helps you when you are really in need of it. The divine force has not been fully known, it is basically an unknown entity and perhaps destiny decides, how it gonna work.

*KNOWN ONE - THE MINDSET OF A HATER

Coming to the known one, maybe someone belonging to the family, relatives, friend circle or any other closed one. You need to make yourself familiar with the truth that no one holds the responsibility for your action. Noone gonna stand beside you in your phase of misery. Even your known ones leave your hand when you really need them.

The word Hater doesn't mean the person literally hates you but it means the person isn't interested in supporting you. The person mayn't want to picturise you moving ahead of him. The person may be envious of your progress. The person doesn't want you to raise your bar of progress.

The known person may also felt insecure and because of the fear of your prosperity and hence believe in discouraging and criticizing you.

Life and Changes

"What you have taken, has been from here. What you gave has been given here. What belongs to you today belonged to someone yesterday and will be someone else's tomorrow. Change is the Law of the Universe." - Bhagavad Gita

Considering the most powerful statement by Lord Krishna himself, the impact of change in life can be appreciated. Change is something that becomes a necessity in order to survive in this universe. Man is an evolving creature and is adopting the changes for ages for the continuation of the survival of the human species. We had been evolving for thousands of years and finally became efficient to cope with the environment.
Keeping the evolutionary reference aside, let's talk about the change needed in human nature in order to maintain healthy relationships, a positive attitude, hustling spirit, kind nature, etc.

Mistakes - Walking stone for Change
A man is a Mannequin of mistakes and hence holds the capacity of doing a number of mistakes daily. Now, doing a mistake isn't something shameful or something you need to be afraid of, but learning nothing and repeating the same mistake again is the cause of concern or shame. With mistakes, man learns numerous stuff, learns the ability to tackle situations efficiently and confidently.
In order to rectify your mistake, you need to change your mindset, approach, etc and adapt yourself accordingly.

Adapting the change - Step towards prosperity
Now, there's a quite simple formula for a happy and prosperous life i.e go on adapting the change. Even in evolutionary terms, humans need to adapt to the changes in order to survive.
So, there was a businessman in the town, who was manufacturing hand-made snacks for the last twenty years and was earning huge. Now, even after the introduction of modern packaging machines, scientific equipment, he wasn't accepting the modern advanced technical skills and hence was resisting the change. As a result, his business started suffering because of more intensive human labor requirements and more time-consuming processes as compared to the other new business player in the market, who were using advanced manufacturing instruments. Finally, after few years he filed for bankruptcy because of continuous losses.
Now, we can predict the importance of adapting the change to lead our life towards prosperity.

Human Psychology and change
We experience changes on a regular basis. We keep on changing our nature, our ideas, problem-solving approaches, etc. Sometimes the changes are small that hardly affect our lives but sometimes our lives get drastically affected after adopting the change. Our behavior, outlook, attitude, physical response, verbal response, in fact, the whole human personality welcomes the change on a daily basis.
So, if we're so much influenced by change already, what's the need to resist? In fact, adapt to it and go with the flow. Nature has already blessed human minds with the ability to adapt, why we're actually destroying the ability and challenging nature to exploit us?

Barriers to change
The only barrier that mainly affects the change is the fear of losing our comfort zone. We, human beings are so much obsessed with comfort that we don't want to experimentise ourselves, we don't want to try new and different stuff, we can't handle failures and sufferance and hence, we resist the change, but, it's not true. You need to suffer in order to get the best out of you, you need to try new stuff in order to conclude how things actually work. Finally, you need to adapt to the change.

Keep changing. Keep improving yourself.
Peace!!

THE FIRST STEP - INITIATION

Bro, I love writing but I can't. There are already thousands of writers out there, who already write so well. How the hell I'm gonna survive in such a dominant market.

Bro, I love acting but the industry is already dominated by others. I'm not gonna survive into it.

Aren't these some of the statements, we often come across. A number of people wanted to do something but end up doing nothing because of the fear of failure, fear of being judged, criticism, rejections, etc. Now, being trapped in all these situations isn't something new. It had been introduced into our lives since childhood, knowingly or maybe unknowingly, and out of nowhere, a seed of fears got sown into our consciousness.

Picture of Perfection:

Whenever you initiate anything, the very first thing you need to keep in mind is, "Just go for the shot". You need not picturise yourself as a Perfectionist. You need not anticipate being a master of that subject. Initiation is difficult but with time, experience speaks and your efforts and hard work would be appreciated.

Start Immediately:

Many of us just procrastinate and hence keep on delaying the stuff, which is the most ridiculous thing. If you're devoted to anything and want to do something, you need to end your procrastination. You need to take immediate action. If you ever think it's not the time, trust me, you're on the wrong path.

You thought of something, just take the action. Your immediate actions determine your chances of success.

Patience is Powerful:

Whenever we start something from zero, there are two probabilities; either it'd be an achievement or it'd be a failure. These are the results already resides in our mind. But don't you think you either achieve or learn. Failure teaches you a lot and failure is something that determines the probability of your success. Well, it's not failure, it's your patience and not giving up attitude after your failure, that determines your success in the field.

With patience, you remain in the situation of handling failures. Patience is a powerful weapon and you need to act patiently.

No shortcut:

"There is no shortcut to success", goes on a quite strong statement. Hard work and Hustle form the key. Destiny may or may not be a factor but if you ever think of shortcuts, then it's the most drastic shit you are feeding yourself. Shortcuts are never meant for long-term success. In order to succeed early and to let things happen in your favor, it's quite obvious, you'll do whatever the hell it demands, and hence going behind the shortcuts isn't anything out of the box.

Message

Now, the most difficult and the most important part of any stuff is its initiation and consistency to carry it forward. You need to learn and understand the same and hence act accordingly.

If you want to write, take a damn paper and pen and start writing the hell of it.

Take a video camera and go on filming the stuff till you end up making a damn masterpiece.

Now, to achieve everything, you need to initiate. Take your first step boldly and confidentially and see how destiny works.

Good Luck.

Peace!!

Wave of Covid - Full of Misery

The way, COVID is rising and the population it's affecting is enormous. The surge of corona and the population it's affecting is tremendously a cause of concern. We are losing our loved ones. We are literally experiencing the worse phase of our life. In 2020, the first wave of covid arrived and we eventually saved ourselves up to a large extent but the way this 2nd wave of the corona is affecting is the cause of real concern.

This COVID leads us to a state of misery from where it's a bit difficult to exit but not impossible. The very best thing about time is, It passes. So whether good or bad, it'd pass.
We are in the phase of suffering together and trust me if we'll stay united and patient, we'll surely win this battle against Covid.

The Politics of Virus
These days every third person is busy while blaming the political parties, leaders, etc. Everyone started cursing the party in power. Leaders are trying to make vote banks out of the virus. Aren't they getting the simple shit inside their head, how disastrous this Virus is? Can't you help and play your roles efficiently to help others in such a critical phase?
Can't you keep your political game aside?

End of Humanity
Charging hefty fares for carrying the dead bodies and the other transportation purposes associated with the Corona is a fine example of the end of humanity. Instead of helping the patient and his family, people are charging multiple times more money.
Isn't it inhumane treatment? This shows the fall of our humans below the standards of humanity. We are working for our profits at the cost of the life of someone.

Revenge of Nature
How beautifully we exploited our resources that from water to air, we need to pay charges for the resources that were God gifted?
The oxygen cylinders served as an example. Demands of cylinders lead to the rise in the cost of oxygen cylinders and its black marketing. I mean, literally, how shameful it is that we're trying to earn out of people's life.
We destroyed forests, exploited nature for our benefits and maybe it's a revenge time, where nature is on its verge of taking revenge.

A message
This is a difficult time and we all are in this tough phase altogether. We need to understand the value of humanity and we need to help others. We need to do our best in order to save the life of others. We need to understand that life is much more precious and important than money, so it's better to save a life instead of looking for profits.

THE PHILOSOPHY OF CHESS || SOMETHING I LEARNT FROM THE GAME OF CHESS || KASHISH GUPTA

Learning is a process that literally requires nothing but a will and desire to learn. Life itself is the biggest teacher one ever got and h...
