Handling Failure. || Kashish Gupta

So, everyone keeps telling us about the effects of the failures. We're being programmed since the early years of our life that success matters and failure is something that has a negative impact on our life. Then we have grown and started evaluating the consequences of failures, either in a positive or a negative way. Those who considered the positive influence ended up improvising and those who considered it negative, perhaps ended up being dejected or founded themselves dwelling into the pit of disdain and resentment.

Now, in order to experience anything, time is the ultimate factor. With time, experience prevails, and hence your spectrum of analyzing and then correcting the problem by finding the real cause behind broaden up. You metamorphose yourself from the one who's once afraid of failures to the one using failure as a foundation stone and building the empire. That's why it's wisely said,

"Failure is the only opportunity to begin again intelligently"

~Henry Ford

The Real Problem

If the process is so simple that you just have to take failures positively and never let your optimism fall, so, what's the real problem, where we humans fail?

Well, the answer is the way, we handle failure. The whole process of failing and then rising is a beautiful journey, but the time hitting failure and then holding the failure as a part of life is a quite difficult phenomenon. If everyone would be capable of holding their failures effectively, then the suicide rate won't be that high. People can't handle their failures and then find suicide as an ultimate option ending up all their problems.

Without much explanation, let's jump into the main part of handling the failures.

Acceptance

Now, as you've faced failure, you need to accept the failure as it is. There's no point in blaming others for your failures. Without accepting the current situation, it's impossible to work, in order to improvise. Only once you accepted the situation, your consciousness will allow you to act moderately to improve and find ways to overcome your failure.

I'd seen a number of people, who don't accept their defeat and keep on blaming. They find out reasons to blame for their failures instead of the solutions to prevent the failure.

Hence, it's wisely said,

Blaming others for failures is like blaming doughnuts for being fat. It wasn't the doughnuts. It was the choice.

Don't Ignore, Instead, Empathize

People often don't care for others, especially, when they're in the phase of misery and dejection. At the time, when you're laid down by failure, you found yourself in the pit of despair, sorrows, and regrets. And it's quite obvious because our brain is programmed that way and hence, has no other options other than being dragged into the phase of misery and regrets. Now, here comes the role of family and loved ones. Think of your mother and father, start to reminisce your precious happy past moments with them. Reconcile your relations. Once you started caring for the happiness of your loved ones, started empathizing them, you'll discover a new ray of hope, love, prosperity and peace. This will complete your void of misery and regrets.

Believe in yourself

So, in order to achieve any victory and to attain anything in your life, you need to remember the formula of Believing in yourself. Kill the self-doubt that developed because of failure. The more you believe in yourself, the more you'll create opportunities for success. Don't let your self-doubts dominate your strength and displace you towards misery again. Self doubt is like a parasite, just harming you in real sense. Don't fall for self doubts and do believe in yourself and trust the process.

Resilience

Resilience is the ability to bounce back and adapt when the thing goes unplanned. Now, consider the law of conservation of energy, "The energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. It can only be changed from one form to another".
Similarly, you need to utilize your internal energy in order to make an impact and further to help you achieving the desired results. Your believe is a powerful tool that's quite important to help you touching heights and handle your failures as well.

Don't let your Self Esteem degrade.

Once the tsunami of failure hits the shore of self-esteem, it brings destruction only. Your morale downgrades, your beliefs got challenged, your capabilities are judged and your efforts are questioned. Struggling with all this stuff can easily degrade your self-esteem and once it degrades, its rebuilding process takes time. So, don't let your self-esteem degrade. Instead, fill yourself with optimism and try to improve the stuff. Hustle more hard, dedicate yourself more towards the goal and trust the process. You'll surely win.
