Your Own Error!

With the evolution of science and technology, we all are subjected to numerous changes. With time, technology advances and so our way of living. We are continuously adapting to the change, which is a necessity. We are trying to change our way of thinking, we are trying our best to fulfill the generation gap among our different generations, we try to familiarise ourselves with the advancing lifestyle and many more things. Change is the rule of nature and hence we need to accept it. If we ignore the change, it'd be difficult for us to survive then.

Now the question is What about the mentality? We are changing ourselves at a fast pace but only from the external aspect. We try to be the coolest among others but what about the cool mentality and cool sense of judgment?

Everyone is quite familiar with the storms created by social media these days. We regularly see different scams, different injustices, online trolling, cyberbully, and much more disgusting stuff. We are updating ourselves and try to act smart in front of society, friends, relatives, etc, but where the hell this mentality goes, every time you witness any fake propaganda or some serious online manipulation or any other bullshit stuff on the internet?

On the internet, everyone is free to express his thoughts, etc but the way, this power is being misused is a matter of worry. We shouldn't underestimate this part of social media where people are manipulated and are made to take unethical and serious steps. 

I still remember, a few months back a game naming Blue Whale was too viral on the internet. This game used the state of depression of a child to run its business. The game created so much hype everywhere, especially among teenagers, and as a result, a number of children committed suicide as well, in order to complete the task of the game. This makes the internet a serious concern.  

These days, everyone tries to be a social media judge or any intellectual analyst. Whenever someone posts any heartwarming story, our audience melts up and starts supporting the protagonist, without even cross-checking or confirming the story.

A few months back a child committed suicide because a girl uploaded a fake video claiming her molestation by that child. The reason behind it was the so-called internet judges, who lose their temper and started abusing and threatening the child without even investigating the whole reality. The child was around 16yrs of age. Imagine a 15-16 years old child under a continuous threat of being killed and mental pressure. The result was, the child committed suicide. And after his death, it was proved that the whole case was fake. Now, what happened? We lost a life. 

Real Problem

The real problem is our narrow spectrum of thinking. We start favoring someone by just listening to their one-sided story and ignoring the other side of the same story. We got manipulated so easily that we lose our senses every time we come to know about some injustice, violence, riot, murder, etc. We jump to the conclusion without even verifying the whole news. 

The very basic fact regarding social media these days is, Everything you see on social media is a lie (majority)

Well, I myself consider social media as a second profile of humans where you can show others the face you wanna show and the identity you want to reveal.

Thousands of people are living in problems of anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, etc due to fake lifestyles shown over social media by so-called social media influencers, cyberbullying, etc. People pass on vulgar comments so easily, without any fear. Does this mean, our cyber laws are not that strict?

These days online gambling is often promoted, even by big brands and many social media influencers. The irony is these people are termed social media influencers but the way they influence the public is really depreciating. They use to sell themselves for few pennies and hence start promoting anything without considering the harmful effects of the same.

THE ERROR;

Now, who the hell is responsible for all the stuff that is actually taking place over the whole internet and social media?

Who is responsible for promoting the fake influencers over social media?

Who is responsible to share everything without even cross-checking the same?

Who is responsible for sharing false news and manipulative videos over the internet?

Well, the answer to all the above questions is quite understood. We, ourselves are responsible for all this stuff. We need to understand the difference between what's right and what's wrong. We need to familiarize ourselves with the complete story before jumping to any conclusion. We need to widen our spectrum of judgment in order to witness a change.
