Gender Equality or a Myth?

" Hey buddy, wearing a pink hoodie. Looking great but it's giving feminine vibes. Stop wearing such girlish colors". Don't you think this is a quite common remark, people use to make fun of the males wearing pink color? I know, you can debate how the hell this is related to gender equality. Now, wait a minute pal, let me make it a little clear for you. Think of a man, wearing a pink hoodie, he is entitled to feminine looks. This whole shit has got no point but still, we do. Similarly, stereotyping girls with an obsession with pink color is shit as well. Don't you think if we can't give equal status to both genders in terms of colors, what about in terms of other social, political, and religious affairs?

I don't think we need an explanation about the status, we give to boys and girls in our society. We usually see there are groups of people, who used to treat females with disrespect and we often spotlight the same but no one dares to notice and talk about the sufferings of men so today I am not going to address the sufferings of females. Instead, I want to address the problems, that men are facing today. You may be surprised to know that even men suffer. Want to know more? Let's go then.

Well, while going through the newspaper, I came across a case, in which the man was set free after 7 years of facing trials for fake rape allegations. This reminds me of another case that happened in 2015, where a girl made an arrest of a man saying he harassed and molested her but later on after 5 years, it was proved that the man was innocent. Google gave me information about thousands of such cases where the male who hadn't done anything but still faced trials and is ill-treated in society as well. We all know, how society treats a man when he is charged with titles like a rapist, molester, etc. though he did nothing. Don't you think this also needed to be highlighted? There are special laws and rights for women. A woman is provided some special rights and status, which is a good thing, no doubt, but what about those women, who use their special powers in the wrong way. Whenever a woman complains about a man, the man is always treated like a culprit or some criminal without being proven guilty. Society entitles the man with numerous abusive terms.

On one side we want to give equal status to both genders but on the other hand, we always consider women's problems seriously and don't give a shit about men's problems. Which kind of equality is this?

I can't blame the system here because we all are aware of the treatments given to women since old times. This made us a little biased towards women and as a result, we always care more about women and hence the rest. But I also want to mention judging and reacting to each situation. We can lose innocent lives as well because of shitty judgment.

Any man charged with these titles can't survive in society because of shame and the fear of judgment. Numerous innocents committed suicide because of fake allegations. Laws are made for the safety of people but what, when someone uses these laws for fake allegations and false claims?

 Talking about the change.

I know, we are developing, growing, and becoming more aware with time but our perspectives are very easily influenced and manipulated. We need to form perspectives on the basis of complete databases and information. Without complete information and facts, making anyone guilty can sometimes cost the life of someone.

Peace ☮️
